I can assure you that attending will be more than worth every cent & iota of effort. This will be our 10th annual conference - the 1st was also held in Chi-town in a tiny conference room in a La Quinta with only 19 or so people! We have grown IMMENSELY!!!

SDN has been a long-term partner of OPM...in fact, in OPM's very early days, SDN hosted our website. Thanks Lee!!!

This sounds like a good one. I passed the info along to some of the post-baccs in the Chicagoland area.

Too bad I already bought tickets for formula 1 in Montreal. :p

Last year the oldest newly matriculated osteopathic student was 56 years old. This year, OldPreMeds has members starting school in their fifties, finishing their internship in their late fifties, and many similar stories. Nor are you limited in what you practice as a woman who graduated allopathic medical at 50 and went into surgery.

Late twenties, thirties, forties, even fifties, should not be a mental block to preparing, applying, matriculating and completing medical school. OldPreMeds has had over 7,000 people register on their website over the past decade to help find a path of their dream to becoming a doctor

The National Society of Nontraditional Premedical & Medical Students is holding its 10th Annual OldPreMeds National Conference & Workshops in

Our featured speaker will be Dr. Karen J. Nichols President-elect of the American Osteopathic Association and Dean of Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine.

I wanted to bump this post as I would like to hear from those who attended. What did you learn? Did you have fun? Knowing what you now know would you recommend someone from further away attend? What did you dislike about the event?

I'm considering attending next year (as I begin the application process), and would love to hear about experiences (positive or negative) at the conference.
