Drexel University OMFS has an opening for a 1 year OMFS internship in Philadelphia starting Late June 2017. Our program is a 6 year OMFS-MD integrated program through Drexel University Medical school.
The program is intended to allow recent dental graduates a chance to gain greater experience in Dentoalveolar Surgery and other hospital surgical activities. This is a great opportunity for those individuals who wish to apply for a residency position in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Intern functions as PGY1 and will participate in all aspects of the service including:
Dentoalveolar Surgery
Ambulatory Anesthesia
Trauma
Orthognathic and Reconstructive Surgery
Craniofacial
Pediatrics
The will have on-call activities and opportunities for operating room cases at Hahnemann University Hospital and at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. Oral and Maxillofacial Interns also participate in the didactic program that serves the residents in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The salary is around $54,000.00 (PGY-1) plus health and malpractice insurance, paid vacation and meal stipend while on-call.
