If you're having trouble with VR...
first, don't panic...it's extremely doable. While some people claim it's a natural ability that you have to hone...they are wrong.
Start reading the passages over and over and over again and getting a feel for them before you even look at the questions. You'll find that over time you start to see a sort of skeleton, or pattern with certain types of question stems that come from distinct places in the passage. Once you've dissected a passage or 7 to pieces, you'll become pro at recognizing the important stuff from the not so important stuff.
All too often you read a passage and the first paragraph and a half is some obscure BS that has NOTHING to do with the rest of the passage. Once you sift through the crap, you'll find that answer becomes more apparent.
I know it's something you've probably heard before... but you have to be confident in your ability to see the answer. I mean it's right there in front of you. When doing practice tests and you decide an answer is bogus and you scratch it out, and you get down to 2 answers and you're 50/50 and you pick the wrong one...always right down a reason why you think the answer you picked was right. Then go back and re-evaluate with the correct answer.
