so whats the deal with this bad boy? Green saverse book is enough to prepare for it? Are the questions straight up first or second order or they try to become un-necessarily convoluted hogwash?

Savarese should do it. Or take some Q's out of your step 2 question bank.
 
COMBANK has pretty representative OMM questions. I dislike it too, and always spent a bare minimum of time studying it throughout first / second year. The shelf wasn't too bad, did a quick review of Chapman's points, viscerosomatics, sacral and cranial. Maybe two evenings of studying, and scored > avg. These vids are good too:
