ON HOLD at SUNY Upstate.... what does that mean?

Okay this may sound dumb... but I just got a letter from SUNY Upstate stating that my application was reviewed and put on hold... what does that exactly mean... Am I considered for a potential interview or is a possibility that I'm rejected????

If anyone in SDN has been placed on hold... how long were you placed on hold???
