Hey guys, I've got a question for you...

I'm starting Dental school this year and was wondering if you had any ideas on how to prepare.
(other than get as much sleep as I can now)

Any and all tips are appreciated. Thanks. 🙂

Zarina,

The best thing you can do is not worry. The bottom-line is they accepted you because you were qualified; emotionally and academically. Sure you can peek at biochemistry, physiology, anatomy, etc... and worry to death on how much you don't know or you can enjoy your final year of college----go out and enjoy a social life---- sleep-in, stay-up late, skip a class or two to shop or watch movies with a friend. What I'm trying to get at is----- dental school will give you plenty of time to be stressed-out, discouraged, and rushed----why start 8 months ahead of schedule!

You'll be fine. This summer---get organized and prepare mentally and physically for dental school. Start good sleep habits, eat right and pick-up a physical hobby. (basketball, tennis, cardiovascular, ect... but something to keep you in shape. You can't afford to be sick in dental school!)

Regards,
RRB

I suggest one thing. Check to see if your school requires you to "wax up teeth" as part of the dental anatomy curriculum (some do-some don't). If your school is one that does, get a jump start on that procedure. It will save you some grief. Go to a local dental lab and tell them that you will soon start dental school and want to get some practice at "waxing." They will likely help you out and get you started. Good luck.
