So, I did a year of post bac courses, mostly upper level biochem and two graduate level public health classes in the spring- one was a two credit hour course on immigrant and border health issues and the other was a one credit hour course on Epidemiology.

The epi class was essentially independent study with a few assignments and a take home final. I never received feedback on my assignments from the professor (with the exception of "yeah, you're doing great" halfway through the semester). After turning in the final, I get an email from the prof that says I didn't understand many of the concepts in the course and I was getting a C.

The rest of my grades that semester were A's and the all of the grades the in the semester before that were the same.

tl;dr - What can I say about this one C in my secondaries? Especially so that it doesn't seem like I'm making up excuses for a poor grade. Is it even important to talk about if it's only for one credit and it's not in my BCPM GPA?

I wouldn't even mention it in your secondary. One C is not a big deal.

I don't think its as big of a deal as you think. I got a c in a 3 credit class and don't plan on making a federal case about it on my apps.

Ok, thanks guys. I was more worried about the timing of it being in the last semester of courses I've taken than the C itself, but I it is relatively insignificant. I won't worry about it, but I'll be ready to talk about it if it comes up in an interview.
