Talk about putting all my eggs in one basket. I interviewed at EVMS, and just today received a letter saying that I'm on the waitlist.

I'm kinda freakin out. what do i do now? should i send letter of interest to the admission people? anyone know anything about evms waitlist movement?

From what i heard, it seems like the waitlist movement for EVMS is pretty good, but I don't even know where i'm at on the waitlist. should i call to find out what number am i on? do they even have numbers for the waitlisted people?

Help guys! any help would be appreciated! :scared:

bump for panicking!!

be persistant! email, call, write as much as possible (well, just not every day) to show interest. Tell them why you love them, why you'll be a good fit, and why they should love you back. Lots of people get off the waitlist when they tell the school that it's their first choice (but not all). It's worth a try.

Spam the hell out of them. If this your basket, you are not merely "interested" in them. Do more than a letter of intent. Write a letter of beg. That's what I plan to do 👍

yeah, definitely there will be letters of INTENSE interest. my friend at UC davis med suggested that maybe i should hold off on writing them a letter, since it's still early and there will be lots of waitlist movement.

anybody else?

Don't wait. You don't know where you are. If you wait untill the waitlist starts to move, there will be a good chance that those before you bump you down and possibly out! DO IT NOW!
