I wouldn't waste my $ on UC Davis, it's hard enough for CA residents.

OK I've taken out UC Davis
and it seems NYU, Colombia, USC and even Einstein all have VB bot 10th of 9, so should I not bother with them? (Einstein was actually was my dream school)
that leaves me with 10 schools, i was looking to add Rochestor and maybe UCLA (not sure how comp, but it had a VB bot 10th of 7 and took 20/170 OOS)

Would leaving it at these schools be good enough?

UCLA is really competitive even though it isn't very numbers-based. They have a diverse student body. Unless you bring something like this to the table I wouldn't recommend based on numbers alone.

Maybe you can add Jefferson? BTW why is NY location a weak point?

Oh I've written NY as a weak point just because some of the schools do not perfer OOS applicants

I was using the 09/10 version (I didnt think the edition would make a big difference, but now I see otherwise)
So i will keep USC and Einstein on the list

Are there generally any CA schools that consider OOS or do most of them look for CA students?

I don't see why everyone is so eager to go out west. I understand it for the CA residents, but I was hoping the one other northeasterner with stats similar to mine would swap northeastern school insights with me. :p

What bout Sinai, Tufts and Rochester?

So this is my final list:

NYU
Einstein
Boston
U of Southern California
U of Miami
SUNY Downstate
Stony Brook
Albany
SUNY Upstate
U at Buffalo
Hofstra
NYMC
Drexel

NYU is the only school i included with a 10th percentile VR of 9, the rest have 8. I wanted to apply to more (Sinai, Columbia, Tufts) but i figure I don't want to include too many unlikely top schools.

13 schools in total, I feel I have a good chance at all.

Any last suggestions and addition/removals are appreciated!!
