I hate to tell you this but you probably won't get a word back from UConn until after first deposits are due (Jan 15). If you weren't in their original round of acceptances, they are generally waiting to see how many people deposit to see where their class stands before they accept more people - that's kind of how most schools are going. You're likely going to have to deposit elsewhere and just eat the money if you get accepted to UConn later.

yes, i'm pretty much decided for accepting my spot at UConn, very impressive program, maybe we'll be classmates ;-)

but this year they are doing the acceptances differently, bc last year they had basically accepted their entire class on Dec2, and didn't even REALLY get into 2nd round acceptances, after all it's only a class of 35

so this year apparently they accepted less people on dec 2nd, so you have a good chance, especially being northeast and with a close to 4.0 gpa

as for BU and Maryland, i would deposit at maryland, both fantastic schools, maryland is a little better rep, with newer facilities and a great patient pool.

tell me how UConn goes!

Calling them will be useless. Pay the deposit and hope that an acceptance letter is on its way. Best of luck.

calling can't hurt, but honestly you certainly won't hear before jan 15th, probably a week or two afterwards...call them and ask when the next round of acceptances will go out, it never hurts

absolutely make sure you have a deposit down by jan 15th at either BU or Maryland, if they don't receive the deposit they will assume you are not coming and WILL give the spot to someone else

well i wouldn't tell you what to do, but after interviewing at both places i felt that maryland was IMO a better school, but i really liked the faculty at BU, but i really liked the faculty at maryland too...but there is something to be said for living in boston, certainly a better city than baltimore.

but UConn i feel is a stronger school, i hope you get in. You can't beat living in farmington, very safe, very quiet, very nice. plus 50 cent lives there lol
