Has anyone done their residency, is doing their residency, or have done rotations their as students, in general surgery? If you could, please share your experiences and impression of the department and the hospital itself. How are ancillary services?

Other specialties, if you'd like to comment, I'd be grateful as well.

I did a radiology rotation, transitional internship and radiology residency at TAMC. They were all great experiences. The departments have likely changed a lot since I was there (1995-2000) but Hawaii was paradise and I got great training.

Anyone know if Navy/AF can do residency at Army hospitals and vice versa? Or do army training hospitals just take army, etc, etc

There are some joint programs, but not a ton.
