Optometry in Canada

All the "over-supply" talk on the board for the U.S. schools. From what I have seen, Candaian optometrists seem to be doing extremely well.(in the western Canada).

I think I have seen a web saying "150,000 to start".

Any Canadians can confirm this? What's the real starting salary?

Hey, if there is really a "gut" in Canada, the new grads can move North, right?

Oh God, lets not get into that discussion about how much optometrists really make starting out in Canada. That issue has been beat to death in other threads.
