When are the oral boards? I thought they were always in the Spring?

(By the way, the ABEM website sucks. Looks like it's from the 1990's.)

Do you pick one or take both? And, if I take the written boards in the fall, can I take the oral boards in the same fall as well? Or do I have to wait till Spring?

You take written boards in the fall. If you pass, you'll be assigned to oral boards in either the following year's spring or fall administration. Not both. A pass on the qualifying exam is a prerequisite to taking the oral, so you can't take both in the same fall.

There will be a window in which you can request a change if you want to request a change, but it's not guaranteed.
