Oral terbinafine, treat household members as well?

Adult male on oral terbinafine for recurring athletes foot with mild nail involvement. Very thorough with hygiene and treating home surfaces, socks, shoes.

10 yo child in house has asymptomatic mild cracking/dryness on soles of feet. Should she:

1) be treated with course of topical anti fungal during parents treatment
2) be brought in for KOH/culture
3) be left alone barring significant symptoms?

I'm a podiatrist but I saw this

You can do topical terbinafine cream with a moisturizer overlay and see if that clears it.

I've given oral terbinafine 250 to tweens but I usually dose it 1 of the 250 pills every 2 days.

I'd do the cream first though

Agree, I'd say start with topicals and go from there. Have them in if no improvement or if it worsens.
