For those of you starting residncy this year, have any of you received your orders yet? Just curious.

Sooooo...looks like everyone except Army has orders already.

Any Army out there that matched this year, and has orders or anything other than contract already?

The Army office used to be the best run GME office. Now it is clearly the slowest and inefficient, judging by both PCS orders and refusing or miscalculating constructive service credit.

If people want to put pressure on them, you can use either the IG or Congerssional complaint. I know of at least 3 so far. It is illegal to retaliate and intentionally slow down a soldier's paperwork for complaining, but bureaucrats still do it.

Army GME is incredibly slow....most likely u will get orders in April/May.. just make sure all ur stuff is in or they wont do anything

I am done with residency (Army) and I am currently waiting for orders to start fellowship this July. I just got my Request For Orders (RFO) a couple of weeks. I have to take it to my reassignment specialist since I am at a non GME location to get my orders cut. My orders should be cut sometime in April.

As medical students the process from RFO to orders being cut will be handled by GME but I think it will be a similar time frame for you guys as mine.

Are you sure you got your orders and not the Request for orders (RFO)? I got those about a week ago and still waiting for the actual orders.

I'm sure. got my RFO a couple weeks ago. as well. orders came the other day via email.

It's the end of April and I still don't have orders. I got my RFO last week but didn't really understand its purpose. How much longer can I expect to wait to get actual orders after the RFO? Should I expect to hear anything from my program (GS) before showing up on the first week of June?
