I withdrew from OHSU, but here's what I found out earlier.
They put you on the 'hold' list, and you may or may not hear before May 18. Around May 18, they take those on the hold list and rank them, creating a waitlist--or whatever the new ranked list is called.
Then movement ensues throughout the summer months. When I interviewed I talked to a couple of women who had gotten in off the waitlist. They said they called regularly to see what number they had moved up to.
I gathered that they use a point system, and they're sending out acceptances to people above a certain number of points. As time goes by (and no, they haven't sent out all their acceptances yet), the bar drops, so you may get in before May 18 if the bar drops down to your level (if you know what I mean). If not, you'll get ranked or rejected.
I'd go ahead and call OHSU for more clarification. I did, and they were nice about it.
