I'd like to start going through First Aid and some of the Kaplan Organ Based Review books and I'd like to do usmle-type questions at the end of each "unit." However, I don't want to burn through my Qbank questions just yet because I'd like to save them for the 6 weeks of intense studying just prior to the exam.

Can anyone recommend some sources that have USMLE questions grouped such that I could do only certain subjects and organ systems?

I'm thinking maybe the Kaplan QBook and/or Appleton and Lange Q Book. Anybody know how these are organized or how good they are?

Thanks.

I say start q-bank now....i know that feeling of running out of questions etc, but its stupid. Just do them, and do them again. What are you worried that you will remember the questions??? isn't that the entire point. Otherwise here are some question books that are good - http://www.gotmedbooks.com/findbooks.php?action=list&num=22
But I would say just start now....there is NMS, appleton and lange - those are the popular ones.

I say use Qbank as much as possible. You can select questions by any topic you want and focus on just what you are currently covering. Trust me, when you go back to re-review in your last 6 wks, you may recognize Qs, but it'll only help. If you do recognize a question and what the answer is down the road, dont just answer because u remmeber it, but actually go through the prob again in your head and justify the answer.
