I read organic chem. as a second language but I still not confident with solvents.
Maybe someone can explain how they mentally evaluate solvents in chemical rxn. Like for ex: #90,91,99 on ADA prep materials.
Thanks for any input.
 
I don't have the questions you are looking for, but this might help in general:
depending on the type of reaction, you will want to choose the best type of solvent. There are a few main categories that will help you decide which is most appropriate.
1. polar or nonpolar
2. aprotic or protic (does or does not provide protons in solution)

Use what resources you have to read about these distinctions; it will help you understand the questions.
