Also, I spoke with a woman at UTHSC who said their interview dates will be Nov. 6 and 7, but they haven't issued any interview offers yet.

Hello Everone,
Are any interviews for orthodontic conducted in Jan? or all the interviews are completed by December. I wanted to go on a vacation out of the country so I can book my tickets accordindly.

Ortho interviews are usually completed by the 2nd week in November as ppl must submit their match lists within about a week from then.

UIC (Illinois) just e-mailed. Interview dates are:

Thursday, November 6

E-mail said, "There will be a social event with the orthodontic residents in downtown Chicago the evening before."

Pulp exposure, are you sure there is a reception the night before the Mayo interview?
 
Reception for one person does seem kind of unusual. Especially since they interview about 9 ppl on separate days. That would be 9 receptions?

I might be mistaken, she may have said "morning of" and I was too excited to filter all the information. There was a letter to follow so that will clarify things when it arrives.

Congrats to those who got interviews so far..
Do schools usually send anything to applicants who don't get interviews? "we regret to inform you that you're one mediocre applicant, and we won't even consider you for an interview.. keep wishing sucker " kinda thing..
Also, do programs usually call those who were selected for interviews on the same day? I know they could call later if someone canceled their interview and they move down the list. I'm not talking about this though.

Is it true that they send invitation to everyone at the same time? Or they can send invitation even after a day or so

i got a rejection letter from Arizona, and im assuming since i didnt get a call from unlv thats a rejection as well

I didn't get a call from UNLV either :( So far it seems like I'm 0/4
 
Well i have 93 in my part 1(old format),86 in part 2,Completed BDS and DDS(3.6 gpa),top 15 % of the class ,doing GPR ,working on research and not have any invitation so far.(0/7)

I'm a resident. Interview invites were given out a couple weeks ago. I am not sure if all interviews invites have been given but I know the dates.

Correct me if i'm wrong but NOVA seems to do majority of interviews before deadline for application is complete. They did the same thing last year too, the deadline being on the 1st of october they interveiw on 16th and 23rd of sept and october 7th. seems pretty stupid to me and a waste of PASS money when you're still working on application and they have done all their invitations. I'm very disappointed in NOVA's system.

Straight from website: ADMISSIONS PROCESS
The Orthodontics program admits students through a selection process administered by the program's Admissions Committee. The process commences on September 1st (the application deadline for the program). The Admissions Committee reviews all complete applications and invites qualified applicants for personal interviews.

Is Nova still granting interviews or have they given them all out?
 
Has anyone heard from Colorado or know when they will send invites?
 
anyone hear from UAB, LSU, MUSC, OSU, Pitt, Case, Tufts?
 
Kentucky just called...I guess they weren't done. Also, I think UAB met to select candidates yesterday so we should hopefully hear from them soon!
