The schools understand that conflicts come up, so they are ok with interviewee switching interviewing dates. (at least that is what the faculty members at my school said)

Having attended the interview at Arizona, I was told that notification of acceptance will be given by phone on Oct 17th since they need to seek the residents' opinions regarding each applicant. Current residents all stated it took about 1.5 to 2 weeks to hear back from the program last year, so I doubt if immediate admissions decisions were made on the day of interviews.

Does UOP have a reception/dinner the night before?

Also, any idea when the interview ends in the afternoon?

Probably nobody will hear from Boston! Last year they shafted everybody by taking our application money and not even HAVING interviews. They filled all the spots internally. I think we should all boycott BU for their shady method of raising capital.
 
Wait to hear the official word from the department but...
...interviews will run from around 8a to 5p each day...
...the social on Monday night will cap the day for those interviewing that day and kick it off for those interviewing Tuesday. It will start at the school at 6pm with a chance to meet each resident (except for one who will be on a medical mission in China) prior to heading out for dinner.

Arizona DID offer on-the-spot acceptance at their interview. Not sure if they have told other people to wait ??
 
i heard rumors of this too, including from a student who attends Boston U. if this can be confirmed to be true, i think there should be a concerted effort to boycott applications there.... a school can bring in $20k to $30k in application fees alone!

Yes, UNLV has extended offers for admissions- verified through colleague who was accepted last week.
 
I was at the AZ interview and I was under the impression that on-the-spot acceptances were not given. Did anyone receive one or just heard they gave them? If someone received an acceptance, did they take the offer?
 
Anyone able to switch Michigan interviews with me? I'm interviewing the 27th, would like to interview the 22nd. PM me if you can switch.

I got the call from AZ the day after and took the offer. and canceld my next interviews. Let me know if you have any questions.

As of 10 days ago, Howard had not given out any interviews yet.
 
South Carolina sent invitations a while ago, although I'm not too sure of the dates. I'm pretty sure they're in the next week or two. A classmate of mine got an invite weeks ago. Too bad I didn't get one though :thumbdown:.
 
Marquette is pretty slow with the process. Last year they held interviews on the day before Match lists were due.

WVU sent out interviews last week sometime for November 3rd (per a classmate).
 
One of my classmates let me know that University of Florida called him just this past week asking for more info as they are almost ready to start reviewing files. According to him, they are expecting to hold interviews ~Nov. 17th. I can't verify any of this, but thought I'd share.

Detroit Mercy has not sent out invitations yet, but interviews are November 4th and 7th with a social the night before.
 
UF is meeting on October 17th to select candidates, interviews are on November 17th and 18th
 
Has anyone heard from Harvard or Stony Brook?
Do you think most of the invites are over by now?

Does anyone know which program is better? My interview dates overlap and I need to choose one... Please help! ... I know Bronx area is bad but what about philadelphia? Saint barnabas interviews 30 and accepts 4. Albert Einstein interviews 16 and accepts 3. Pay is similar... both 3 yrs...

Oh and does anyone know if NJ program is good or not? and how important is the reception?

stony brook is on nov 9th. I got the email yesterday.
