reach out to 4th years in your school who matched ortho and ask them is honestly the best thing you can do rn.

start shadowing in ortho clinics, talk to your ortho faculty, try to get in on ortho research.

Research is great and you should do it if you can, but it’s far from a requirement to match into Ortho, especially with your stats

maintaining that ranking and getting sholarships/distinctions would be best way to focus your efforts imo
