Anybody have any good info on Post-Grad opportunities.

Is tuition paid for?

How much does residency pay?

Chances of getting into post-grad programs at NYU?

I'm obviously interested in O/D.Orthepeics, anyone else?

ask in the dent or residency forum

Hi. Wow, class of 2010... you have decided pretty early about what specialty you want to go into! That's fine though- more time to prepare.

I'm starting a specialty in Orthodontics this summer. To be honest, the vast majority of ortho programs do NOT pay. You have to pay tuition & living costs just like in dental school. I'm actually not 100% sure about NYU...

Other specialties on the other hand do pay at least a small amount - Peds usually, Pros will often give a small stipend, etc.

Ortho is competitive to get into. So, buckle down, study hard, and do well (90+) on your national boards. That is simply the best way to get your foot in the door. If you want more info on specialty programs, definitely visit the residency forum.
