The Shelbourne Knee Center at Community East Hospital, located on the east side of Indianapolis, is offering a postdoctoral Orthopaedic Knee Fellowship beginning in August 2020.

The one-year, non-accredited fellowship will be a paid, full-time position, with salary and benefits (listed below) provided by the Community Health Network.

This opportunity would be for physicians interested in sports medicine, soft tissue related knee injuries and non-operative and total knee arthroplasty treatment of osteoarthritis. The objectives of the fellowship will be to provide comprehensive exposure to the clinical and surgical aspects of treating knee conditions and injuries. The fellow will have access to the expertise of skilled orthopaedic surgeons, physical therapists and athletic trainers, working collaboratively to develop treatment plans for patients, from the initial assessment through rehabilitation and recovery. Fellows will also receive experience in developing clinical research protocols, as well as drafting a manuscript with the intention of presenting at a national level meeting and the Network local research symposium. Additionally, the fellow will also participate in sports medicine coverage at the high school and Division I and III levels.

Applicants must be board eligible, be eligible for permanent Indiana licensure and must have completed an accredited Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program in the United States. Please submit a CV, one-page cover letter and contact information to Crystal Neal, [email protected]. Interviews will begin immediately and selection will be made no later than May 1 for an August 1 start date.
