I've been looking at different residency programs and fellowships offered. I noticed there's a plastic surgery fellowship at some schools that a general surgeon can apply for, but how does someone who's completed general surgery residency pursue orthopedics? is there a fellowship available or would I have to start all over?

I would assume that you would have to start all over. Orthopaedics is very different than most of the other surgical fields.

Hand is the only option. If you want to fix long bones and do total joints and do arthroscopy you have to do a 4 year residency in orthopedics.
