    hey guys,
i'm a third year considering DO rads as a potential residency option. i was an average student my first two years, and i ended up with a rather underwhelming 604/89 (i was pretty much hoping for/expecting better since i prepared well) on COMLEX 1. i'm just wondering if i am in the ballpark of competitive applicants. given that i do well in the next two years, would i necessarily have to take Step 2 in time for residency applications or would my Step 1 score be sufficient?
    thanks for any input!

600+ is an excellent score, don't sell yourself short. with good clinicals, ECs, and LoR, you should definitely be competitive

For allopathic radiology, I recommend Steps 1 & 2. Your COMLEX is fine as most programs look for anything about 600 to weed people out.

    Good luck!
