Anyone want to give any advice as to which osteopathic surgical residencies I should be looking into? Avoid? I'm setting up my "audition" rotations right now and would like any advice. Thanks! (btw, I'm already set up at Mercy (DMU) and Doctors (Columbus). Any others I should look into? Thanks.

UMDNJ in South Jersey, Botsford in Michigan, Genesys in Michigan.

DMU and Columbus are good but it depends on if you want a bigger city or smaller city environment. UMDNJ is right outside Philly.

I'm assuming you want general surgery.

At the end of the 5 years you will be trained as a general surgeon and have fellowship opportunities wherever you go.

Don't pick a place because they have good fellowships. Programs sometimes eat their young.

Go to the places where you would be happiest living.

It's a tough process. Best of luck. :luck:
