I have the vegan multi-colored striped ones and the black/grey striped ones. Love them! and I get compliments on them daily! I don't normally wear prints/stripes so I don't know what possessed me to purchase them, but I've been very pleased. 😉

been debating lately whether to invest in a pair of danskos for work...i work as a ER/ICU tech, on my feet for at least 13 hours at a time. everyone at work swears by them but i've always been a little wary about buying a pair...

I have a repetitive ankle injury and have basically destroyed all the supporting structures in my left ankle, have tons of scar tissue, blah, blah. I should've had surgery the last time but I weasled my way out of it; however, I've been told that if it happens again there's no way I'll avoid surgery. On top of it, I have high arches and I pronate too much. Bascially my feet are a hot mess. The pain can be unreal and I'm on my feet at least 13 hours a day as well. Danskos keep that foot AMAZINGLY happy, & essentially pain free. I totally believe they are keeping me away from the OR table.

Having said that, they are not for everyone and I agree with TT about trying out a pair. I originally bought a pair that was too small. I can wear anything from a 5.5-6.5 depending on the shoe with my Nikes being 6.5's. I initially went with a 36 in the Danskos as I sized myself down instead of taking the company's advice and going up to account for the half size. Now that I've been wearing 37's, I'm fine.

I'm set on clogs for now, but drooling over some of their regular cute shoes!

I can wear 37 or 38 pretty comfortably, but all pairs are a little different though, so it does depend. I have tried on a pair with a weird slant to them, so it's important to try pairs in first.

While I swear by them, I still put inserts in them for extra cussion and support. They have pretty good support on their own, but I have a lot of foot, ankle, and low back problems so when I am on my feet all day I need a little extra. Before I started working in clinic settings, I used to work in a metal shop which meant I was doing 13 hour days on hard cement. I originally wore work boots with orthotic inserts but eventually switched to Danskos and I noticed a huge improvement in the way my feet and back felt at the end of the day.

I personally find them to be terrible on uneven ground and can't wear them working in a barn (I turn my ankles in them), but they are great in a clinic!

I'm not crazy about the Professional clog, but I have a sporty pair of Danskos - the model is called Calla - and they rock! I've had them for probably 6 years now and they're finally starting to fall apart (plus they've stretched out a lot and I roll my ankle in them). I want to replace them but they discontinued the model 🙁 Sad, sad day...
