Dear SDN Anesthesiologists,
I hope you are doing well. Today was the second attempt for whom didn't participate in last January Mid OSCE exam (for 3rd year residents) - I passed it and topped the 8th of the participants out of 55 residents.

I came today to see my friends at Baghdad Medical City where the headquarter of the Iraqi scientific council where they hold the exam there too.

Number of participants were like 24 residents.

The OSCE exam is divided into 2 parts, the first part are Slides - 20 of them, mostly were : EKG strips, equipments, CVP waves, oxygen devices, BMI calculations, CXRs,, etc

The stations, this exam was 7 stations unlike last January and it was only 4 stations.

Here are the stations :

Station I :
Regional - Infra clavicular block
Indication / contraindications
Dermatomes
Site of block
Relations of the cords to the axillary artery

Station II :
RCU / A
• Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura TTP
Mechanism, Diagnosis, Management

• What is Auto peep?
Causes?
Management? - air trapping!

Station III :
RCU / C
Myasthenia Gravis
Definition, MG crisis, anesthesia plans, ICU management

Station IV :
Antepartum hemorrhage
Differential Diagnosis and Management?

Station V :
Pediatric Anesthesia
Diaphragmatic hernia
Diagnosis, Management, anesthetic consideration and ICU management

Station VI :
Malignant Hyperthermia
Diagnosis, Management, Complications

Station VII :
Aortic stenosis
Diagnosis, Management, Goals and perioperative management.
