Is anyone familiar with any out-of-state applicants being accepted at U of Kentucky? I have a 96 PCAT and a 3.63 GPA, pharmacy work experience, but no recent volunteer work and just wonder what my chances might be.

Hi bob,
they take 5-10 out of state per year
i'm applying there from out-of-state as well
haven't heard anything yet

SKP:

Haven't heard anything. PHARMCAS just updated my transcripts. Applying from Michigan. You? Similar PCAT and GPA? Why did you pick KY?

Yeah, my PCAT and GPA are similar to yours. KY had a good rep. and I happened to meet the pre-req requirements and it's within driving distance of my current home (Iowa).

In case anyone is wondering, the small number of out of state acceptance is due to UK's role as the only pharmacy school within the state. For those out of state applicants, I've known some to get in but I believe they tend to favor those who are from other states but have completed their undergraduate coursework within the state of Kentucky.

I applied out of state and recieved an interview invite today

Yes. Did you receive one as well?

nope...when did you apply?

I submitted my PharmCas Application in November and UK received my suplemental stuff January 7th.
