hi everyone,

have you / do you know anyone who has been accepted to USC or UCLA, after doing undergrad at an out-of-state state school? I'm hopefully going to be at Umass Amherst this fall and was just wondering ... hearing one success story would be nice 🙂

thanks!

Yup. Kid at my state school in the Northeast was accepted to UCLA, Cornell, Harvard, Case. He had this special talent, though, of being able to walk on water. I guess that really turned the adcoms onto him.

I've been accepted to USC, and I went to U of Michigan. But I'm not from California.

I think USC really doesn't care about residency as it is a private institution. Not as many OOSers apply though, so most of its students are Californians.
