Out-of-state status to in-state status

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know about D schools that change your out of state school status after a year or two being there? I heard about some schools and wasn't sure if its true.

UCONN might be one of those, call to find out or check the website. I don't think any NY State schools offer that.

Do they change from out to in automatically or do they evalute your circumstances? If so, what factors do they evaluate your status on?

Well, they would evaluate it based on state laws and/or state laws.

Some states say you must be a resident for XX amount of time. Other say you must have relocated for the purpose of supporting a family. Others say... you get the idea.
