Out-of-staters Accepted to Temple?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
i would like to know as well. 2 years ago, a good friend of mine applied to Temple as an out-of-stater (from california) and she interviewed in december and was accepted by the first week of february......any similar news?

no news here. i interviewed the first week of november . i guess there was one person who applied as out of state and was already accepted... i think it was DW but am not sure??

yeah i got in "out of state" a month ago, but I'm kind of a bad example since although technically being a GA resident right now I was born and raised in philly, so maybe that played into it.

any other out of state temple applicants out there?

I just got my acceptance letter on Feb. 1, interviewed on Jan 9. I originally recieved a letter dated Jan. 14, stating that I was put in their continuing candidates list. I'm a Calif. resident, so ya out of staters do get in. Hope that helps.

According to the MSAR (2003-2004), in the class of 210 starting in 2001 there were 70 out-of-staters. Note that this NOT the number accepted; that number (not given) was in all likelihood higher than 70. Non-residents who were accepted to their own state schools were likely to go there because of lower tuition; non-residents who were accepted to more "prestigious" schools were likely to dump Temple.

just got my acceptance off the continuing candidates list yesterday...here are some more stats, taken from us news...

Applied/interviewed/accepted/enrolled

Total: 7,004 / 887 / 508 / 210

In State: 917 / 410 / 332 / 140

Out of State: 6,087 / 477 / 176 / 70
