I know that there aren't too many outside scholarships in med school that don't have service obligations (i.e. HPSP), but I have heard of a few, like the Soros award and various AMA scholarshps. Does anyone know of any others?

can you apply for that once in med school? I thought that was for college seniors but could be wrong

Yup college seniors only (well or people who have taken a year or so off)- you have to be endorsed by your undergrad. Its also really competitive because they pay for EVERYTHING with nothing expected in return.
