baracuda - are you looking for military "scholarships" or other kinds of funding? I know the military programs are detailed on their respective websites, and heaven know you'll get enough recruiting stuff from them anyway. The government also offers programs where they fund you in exchange for working with native americans in underserviced areas after you're a dentist - I'm not sure how much of that prgm is online. Personally, NIDR is funding me, but that's only b/c i'm going into a DDS/PhD training program. Really I think the best source for scholarships, apart from indenturing yourself, is your individual school. The bum thing is that most schools won't give out any scholarship info until you've accepted their offer of admission - so you go into it kind of blind. Somehow no one feels sorry enough for really poor ($) prospective professionals to offer scholarships - go figure - maybe somone could convince a rich CEO in the dental chair in dire pain from a toothache to offer big scholarships for prospective dentists..... well, and then fix the tooth, of course <img border="0" alt="[Laughy]" title="" src="graemlins/laughy.gif" />
is there any place where you can look up to see if you qualify for academic- baed scholarships, say you do real well while in dental school and have a good gpa, since my school doesn't offer ANY, i was curious to see if i can get it from other places
