Is it better to go to a school that is P/F or letter grades with rankings? Is one better than the other for residency matching? I'm interested to know everyone's opinion

Thanks!

If it's a reputable school P/F will help you.

If not, you need other ways to set yourself apart from other candidates.

It’s better to go to the cheapest school because you can specialize out of any school

This. If you're going to a newer/less reputable school, P/F isn't necessarily in your favor (unless you want to do general dentistry which in that case wouldn't matter). If you're going to like UCLA/Harvard/Columbia etc., then it's a lot better to be P/F.
