Hi everyone,

I'm a fourth year biology student from Canada applying to Pacific Optometry this year. I'm fairly confident in my gpa (86%) and oat scores (TS 390, AA 370), but am lacking in volunteer experience/extracurriculars, other than my part time job at a tutoring center. I have met the minimum 30 hours of shadowing, but I'm wondering if it would be better to submit the application early (since Pacific has a rolling admissions process) or get some volunteering done and submit the application around October/November? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

You could always ask admissions what they think. Personally I would submit it early and just volunteer while you're waiting for a response. Also, your stats are eerily similar to mine... except I'm from the U.S.

Show offs (winky face). Here is the answer: Apply early.
