Paediatric Ophthalmology elective at Beth Israel NY

Has anybody done pediatric ophthalmology elective at Beth Israel in NY? I would prefer general ophthalmology but that seems to be the only one available to me without costing an arm and a leg.

They charge quite a bit for international students like me (Cornell, Mt Sinai - OK but lots of extra money). Or don't accept application for late 2007 until May 2007, which is a bitch if you have to organise an international flight (AECOM, SUNY Downstate).

I'll probably go to LIJ-NS if they accept me - they will let me know in April. The administrator there was wonderful.
