Pain Management vs. Palliative/Hospice?

I've heard of FM docs in Canada specializing in "Pain Management". Obviously this was all anecdotal, so I don't know of how true it is.. but is it plausible? Or was it just Palliative/Hospice care relabeled?

Are palliative/hospice care somewhat like practicing pain management?

Any inputs?

Completely different specialties.
Didn't someone here - maybe lobelsteve - say, previously, that a pain doc helps people live, and a palliative care doc helps people die with dignity?
