Paper due this week...

It's the last week before the MCAT, and of course a German prof of mine decides to assign a paper due on Wednesday. I would think about asking for an extension until after the MCAT, but there are two problems with that: I already got an extension once because I was sick, and also I doubt I will feel like writing a paper the day after the MCAT (though I guess I could force myself).

I suppose I should just suck it up and get the paper done...but it will take most of tomorrow (potential studying time) to finish... what to do?! Do any of you also have things due this week? What are you doing about them?

Yeah! Same here! I have a huge homework assignments, CS homework on Wed. and I have a CS Final Project due on Friday. Then I start Finals on Monday! ugh!!! Don't know whats going to happen, I am just concentrating on the MCAT right now, and just trying to get by with my other classes. I have done really well till tihs point, so I am hoping my teachers are going to cut me some slack!

i feel your pain. i have 2 papers due this week, 2 quizes, and i have my proposal meeting for my thesis the monday after the mcat. i sacrificed my entire weekend and finished my papers, as for the quizes, i'm just going read my notes right before class and hope that we can drop a quiz. i would just suck it up and bust out the paper so you can have the rest of the week devoted to mcat stuff. hang in there, just a couple more days.

Doesn't it suck...I have a psych test and a histology test this week...along with a psych paper due on Monday.

To tell you the truth though....if I wasn't doing as well as I expected on the practice tests I would most probably compromise my classwork and just put everything into the MCAT.

I have two midterms this week in class I never read for because I was too busy reading for the mcat. Now they want me to spit out the globs of nonsense they thought I absorbed.

One of the midterms is on saturday itself but before I registed for the class I already told the professor that I would be missing his midterm (He gave me an advanced copy of the syllabus). I thought he would make take it earlier, but the lucky devil said I can take it the monday after (the 28th)...so I am really grateful.

So that leaves on midterm this week on wednesday...hope I can get thru it.

(I have midterms so late because these are accelerated classes that run for only 7 weeks. These classes start in Jan end in march, and the second accelerated classes are offered starting in late March).

Don't worry just prioritize and set time out to do a quick study session.

wow, you all are truly swamped....i thought i had it tough and i only have one take-home physics quiz this week.... i really wish you all the best of luck in pulling through this last week!

Karen44, I think you should ask your teacher for an extension...i agree w/nbharara that i'd put in all my time to studying mcat stuff unless i was scoring decently in the practice tests...

i myself have put school on major hold this week...skipped my o-chem lectures mostly b/c i already studied the stuff our teacher's going over in class. i'm debating attending physics today, but probably will.

but one more thing: if you find yourself staring at the pages of your mcat review book without absorbing anything and your sessions are getting less productive, maybe it's a sign that you've studied all you can and in that case going to class, writing papers, etc. might somehow actually be a nice forced distraction. Who knew? 🙂
