If all my apps are already in (aug mcat), what do you think schools would think about taking biochem pass/fail? It is not required for any schools I'm applying to, but recommended at some.

what do you think is worse: withdrawing from the class (w/ a good excuse), pass/failing the class, getting a grade in the class lower than your gpa (eg. getting a B if your gpa is 3.9)?

thanks!

A "B" in biochem (especially if it's the biochem majors course) is not bad. I think taking it for a grade is better because it will better prepare you for med school.
