PAT Pattern Folding Help

Hey everyone! When I practice on CDP, I ALWAYS have a problem with the pattern folding section. It's specifically the pattern foldings with shading and patterns. I try to fold it mentally both towards me and away from me. Sometimes I get it but, most of the time after folding and looking at the choices, I'm able to eliminate two of the four choices and I still do not see the right answer. The only way I know I get it right is to draw it BUT in all reality I will not be able to draw these foldings when the big day comes.

So, are there any suggestions or advice as how to be more time efficient and see the right answer??
