Pathology Letters of Recommendation

Hey all:
I'm currently doing an elective in pathology. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to distinguish myself and earn a stellar letter of recommendation?

To those in Path or going into path, from whom will you get your letters of refrence?

I think just try to read some, ask questions and seem enthusiastic and willing to try and learn as much as you can. Getting along with the residents and attendings is probabably just as important as trying to look smart. They will write you a very good letter, and since path is so non-competitive right now, you can probably go about anywhere you want if you are a good student. Whoever you work with the most (and get along well with) should write the letters. Or if there is a famous or well-known person that you work with, that may help, since the path community is pretty small.
