Anyone know of any good sites that could tell me about the pathophysiology of hematochezia? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.🙂
 
If it's not in Robbins or First Aid, it's irrelevant. Look in there, and if it's not there, forget about it.
 
think about anything that could cause a decent bleed anywhere from around the descending colon to the anus.....there's your pathophys...

Nah, anything that can cause bleeding from the mouth to the anus can do it. Upper GI bleeds do it too.
