How is that possible?? I ran it through their Medicare part D insurance and they paid $2 and I feel like I did something wrong.. What happens if you don't bill correctly with insurance? What happens??

I'm a Pharmacy Technician at CVS btw.

As long as my check is right I could care less about billing insurances

Would I be fired in a sense ?

Listen man, nothing will happen to you

There are cases where medicine goes out without being paid for because the tech may have forgotten to scan it at the register and absolutely nothing happens

You trolling? You've never seen $0 or $1 copays before?

I once saw a $0 copay. True story.

Dude, there are medicare plans that are subsidized meaning they pay extra above. Some medicare plans even cover OTC products. You have nothing to worry about, just blame the software and tell them its their fault for having a software that did this.

It's so funny because you would think that everything is so tightly monitored and that corporate would know immediately when something goes wrong.

But like VeeSee says, nothing ever happens. You can give patients medications for free all the time and absolutely nothing happens. That's why I just make my customers happy. I give them whatever they want. CVS doesn't care. Why should I?

Who are you, and how did you get NateRobinson's password? 'Cause that isn't the NateRobinson I know...

If you ran it through the computer system, most likely it is correct. There are a lot of different Medicare part D plans, and they can have different levels of coverage. The person may be paying more upfront to get a premium plan, for which they have to pay less co-pay. Or the person may have both Medicare Part D and Medicaid, you wouldn't know this, because you are just billing their Medicare Part D plan, but the copay would be lower then normal, because their Medicare Part D plan will be partially subsidized by their Medicaid plan. At worst, the computer was wrong, and that would be the fault of the computer programmers, not you.

even for people with medicaid?
i have never seen that before.

In IL, most children on Medicaid have no copay (there are some income limitations where some will have a co-pay, but I've only seen that a couple of times.)

If it's Aetna Part D, they are royally screwing up their stuff this year.

They respond with paid claims, but only reimburse $1.20.

Essentially, your store is most likely losing a ton of money.

I want the NateRobinson of yesteryear when he loved CVS and defended them passionately....where did that Nate go?
