here's a question to MS-3's, MS-4's. residents and doctors, what sort of unique experiences have you had/ heard of? I took physiology last semester, and I got turned on just when I had to place a stethoscope on my (attractive female) lab partner's chest. there was a scenerio on that med show, Gideon's Crossing, where the attractive young lady keeps trying to seduce the young med student. heck, i've even been turned on at the dentist's office. Now I know that gynocologist's have the misfortune of having to examine naked women all day, but i was also wondering, do general practictioner's, family doc's and internal med exams require that patient's take their clothes off? What about doctors and nurses in hospitals? there's no other profession out there, where you have access to private beds during coffee breaks, now is there? Healthcare is one of the few professions out there, where you need to work in close quarters with people. I know that in med school, that you are supposed to check out each other's anatomy, and the women come to class in sports bras. And please don't tell me that I've just been watching too many porn scenarios. Please tell everyone, tell all!!

I think your post is pretty offensive and disgusting. I discourage any replies to this
thread.

I'm a second-year medical student and I think the vulnerability of your patients is nothing
to take lightly. Having a patient disrobe can be thought of as one of the most invasive
procedures, and for you to derive any pleasure from that is twisted and perverted.

In a general medical exam there's really no need to have the patient remove all clothing.
Having your patient keep her brassiere on makes the exam a little less intrusive. There's
NEVER a need to have a patient stark-naked in the room without anything to cover
herself/himself up. You only uncover what you need to. And, no, auscultating the chest
generally doesn't require the removal of the brassiere as well.
