I am attending medical school this August and to be honest, I am very lost in the process of applying for loans. I submitted and updated FAFSA to my medical school already. Do I need to do anything else besides waiting for my school to talk about my financial aid? Should I start looking into student loans from banks?

Check your school's FinAid application procedures. Do they require anything else, like the NeedAccess form or copies of your tax forms? You should be able to get federal student loans to cover the total cost of attendance for the school, so private bank loans should not be necessary except under unusual circumstances.
