PBA Guaranteed undergrad Admission

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I thought about that program but the only thing that has kept me from doing it is of course distance. I'm in San Diego right now and can't move until my husband can transfer jobs. It's definately good if you know all you want to do is become a pharmacist and you have no other academic interest that you would want to get a bachelors in. For me it seems very appealing the only drawback is I wouldn't have enough time to pick up a couple of foreign languages that would be a great use in South Florida. But I guess I could always remedy that with a berlitz course. 🙂
Good Luck with whatever you decide!

Thought I would edit just to say you may also want to take the cost into consideration. The cost of the first two years at PBA plus pharmacy school. It's a private school so its going to be a bit high.

That is amazing, why isnt everyone going to this college then, there requirements dont seem that tuff, and everyone gets accpeted. I think i will consider the school as a transfer student.

You have to be a full-time undergrad PBA Pharm student.

They are recruiting early to get you into their cult.

PBA is very, very religious. And they play either Classical or Christian music in their music department. I am very familiar with many of the long time music faculty there.

Anyway, the city of West Palm Beach and Publix supermarkets embrace PBA a lot.

The curriculum is modeled off of Campbell's pharmacy school, so it is probably Ok in terms of education. However you have to have 100 hours of community service over the summer EACH YEAR.

THIS IS A REQUIREMENT!!! SO REMEMBER THIS WHEN APPLYING!

HI cDIANO27,

I got accepted into PBA but I'm still not very sure of attending to this school. Everyone says how religious it is, and it scares me a little, because I'm kind of catholic. Also I read in their website that it is 45 community hours per year only. I guess all schools require from us to do community service Am I wrong?
Please any information will be highly appreciated, thanks

Seems like this requirement gives them quite a bit of leeway for not accepting students if they run out of room.
