Holy moly, interviewfeedback is down?
I honestly didn't know that.
I apologize to all those who I misguided or pissed off due to my inappropriate link.

If there is any advice I can give you about living in Philly, it would be to shop around. Of course, you would do this anyway, but in philly it is especially important.
I am in a 3br apartment with 2 friends and we pay roughly $1000 a month (that is with utilities). What do I sacrafice for a cheaper rent? I live in west philly and will drive to PCOM.
You can find a good number of great apartments closer to PCOM, but if you have a car, you can expand that search.
Stay out of north philly, unless you can move near the Temple University Hospital campus. There are some nice apartments around there, and some dumps, too. Again...shop around.
You will pay more nearer to PCOM and city ave...manyunk, etc. PCOM has a listing on their website of apartments in the immediate area. They also compiled a list of students currently looking for roomates. You may want to call the student affairs office and check that out.
I plan on staying at least one year in my current apartment, save some cash, then possibly move in with another PCOM student next year. Who knows.
Point is, there is plenty of housing in philly. I also have a friend who has a house in philly (5 minute walk to Pats & Genos!) that he is looking to fill. Nice guy, too. He prefers all guys (probably for simplicity reasons), but will not refuse a girl if she wants to live there.
Good luck with your search!
One final note...it rained the first 3 times I visited the city. I like nice weather...68 degrees and sunny. Never happens. Overall, I guess I can't complain. Sometimes it snows, sometimes it rains. Just be careful...trolly tracks are deadly when its cold and the buses hit all the puddles.
