A review book im reading says we should recheck the BP if it is abnormal on the face sheet we get before walking in... is this necessary for points?

With the limited amount of time I dont feel repeating something already done is worth it, unless of course its something specifically they look for?

I never did and passed. I said to the patient I noticed you had these abnormal vitals if we have time we wlll recheck them. Then in my note I wrote recheck vitals next visit. Or, if critical (none were) I would have written sent in nurse after visit or something to that effect. Also I wrote schedule follow up in 2 weeks to recheck ect.

This is what I did too. But watch out for counseling points. Something like (which may or may not have happened... just a very loose approximation):

"I notice your blood pressure was high. Has it been high before"? "Yes, my last doctor gave me tablets, but I never take them." "Oh, why is that"? or
"No. Should I be worried"? "Let's keep an eye on it and recheck when you have a follow-up visit. In the meantime, I recommend you lose weight/stop smoking/etc."

I think lymphocytes responses are actually the better road to go. However, you see he vast difference and quality here and we both passed Im assuming. 🙂

Oh come on now. I think both were fair responses. 🙂

Passing is all that matters, and most people pass.

Actually, one thing I read that really helped me. Memorise this question: "Given everything that's going on with your health, what's your biggest concern right now, and how can we best address it"? Got the challenge question every time and emphasises partnership, empathy, etc.
