I've been reading on the declining popularity of pediatric fellowships. Some specialties, such as peds critical care, simply can't fill their slots according to ERAS.
How early on does one typically decide on their subspecialty? It seems as if you have to decide by your PGY-2 year so you can apply and interview; does this give you enough time and exposure?
